Dragons and the community gathered in the intersection of 5th and Merchant to end the class rivalries and declare a winner for the fall homecoming week. Upsetting tradition, the sophomore class proved victorious with their high energy and high spirit. In previous years, the majority of senior classes won these highly competitive battles between the grade levels which made losing to the underclassmen exceptionally difficult for the current seniors. Seniors showed clear disapproval in the judging by dropping their handcrafted-banner to the asphalt when the underclassmen became the fall homecoming champions. The Dragon football team went on to defeat the Bluestem Lions that evening.
